Equitable Access to Assessment Policy and Guidelines – Survey

The Board of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority) is seeking advice regarding its current Equitable Access to Assessment Policy and Guidelines for Equitable Access for Assessments (EAA Policy and Guidelines).

The Authority’s EAA Policy and Guidelines summarise adjustments that may be appropriate for a student where their access to an assessment is affected by disability, illness, impairment or personal circumstances. The assessments covered include school-based timed assessments courses, the Online Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (OLNA) and Australian Tertiary Admissions Rank (ATAR) course examinations.

The Access to Assessment survey is intended to gather a range of views to ensure that the advice provided to the Board is grounded in lived experience and informed understanding.

We invite you to use the survey to share your experiences and perspectives relating to assessment adjustments. Your contribution through the survey will play an important role in shaping advice to the Board. The feedback will guide consideration of the current EAA Policy and Guidelines and future directions to support students.

All responses are anonymous and will be treated confidentially. Responses will be used solely to inform the advice provided to the Board. The Authority’s Privacy Policy and Privacy Policy Principles are available on the Authority website at
https://www.scsa.wa.edu.au/privacy.

Completion is voluntary and appreciated.

The Access to Assessment survey will close on 23 November 2026.
